Word Index
WordIndex is an Add-in for Word 2007 (or 2003) that helps build index for big documents. It extracts and filters words from the doc using regular expressions. The list of words can then be used by the "Insert Index/AutoMark" Word feature. Key words : Brute force. Multithreading.

WORD INDEX helps you to build index for big books written with Word 2007 or Word 2003.

WORD INDEX offers two features :
  • Extracts words or sentences from a Word document according to patterns
  • Extracts all the words from a Word document and filters this words according to patterns

The list of words that are generated by WORD INDEX can then be used to build an index with Word 2007 menu Reference, Insert Index, AutoMark or Word 2003 menu Insertion, Reference, Tables and Index..., AutoMark.

Word Index uses multithreading on multi-CPU computers to achieve performances on word filtering using .NET 3.5 regular expression matching.
